(Prerequisite to taking Personal Fitness Trainer Exam)

This course is designed to teach the lay rescuers (security guards, firefighters, police, airline personnel, etc) how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, whose job requires a course completion card documenting one rescuer adult and/or pediatric CPR, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, and AED training. Cost includes: textbook, Patho-Shield Plus key chain, course completion card and exams.

The above course also serves as a recertification course. It is not suitable for recertification for Health Care Providers.

CPR/BLS for Healthcare Professionals

A 4-hour course designed for Healthcare Professionals who responds to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. This course covers one and two person rescuer – adult, child and infant CPR, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, and the AED. Cost includes: textbook, Patho-Shield Plus keychain, course completion card and exams.

Course fees are payable at time of registration. No written confirmations are mailed. You are assured of a place in class unless notified otherwise. If you are not notified, please call the Continuing Education office at 860.255.3666 to verify enrollment and attend the first class as scheduled.
