Office Medical Billing & Coding

(Approved for WIA Funding)

This 15-week program is designed to prepare students with billing and coding skills for entry-level positions in private medical offices, clinics, or insurance companies. Topics covered include medical terminology; computerized medical billing & management; medical claims processing procedures; CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding; and the navigation and use of a medical billing software. Students successfully passing the course will receive a certificate of completion. Students are required to read the first chapter in 3-2-1 Code It prior to the first session.
