The public is invited to “A Community Art Exhibition,” featuring the work of eight artists on display October 17-November 15 in the Wallace Barnes and Barbara Hackman Franklin Art Gallery at Tunxis Community College in Farmington. An opening reception will be held October 17 from 4-7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
A selection of paintings, photographs, and pastels by Rick Fitzsimons, Matthew Friedrichs, William Hernandez, John Kempczynski, Lou Milo, Nola Pio, Jeanne Prom and Alisa Rose will be on display. A commission on all works sold will be used for several Tunxis student community service projects during the 2012-13 academic year, which will help those in need.
