Dear Students:

This afternoon, Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (CSCU) President Terrence Cheng announced that as of April 4, all Connecticut community colleges and state universities will no longer require masking on campus. In addition, all weekly testing requirements for employees and students are ending at that time.

Thanks to all of your hard work and diligence, we are now in a place to drop these mandates and move to a new, more “normal” phase of the pandemic, in line with guidance from the CDC and state Department of Public Health.

I would like to note that some members of our community may continue to wear masks for a variety of reasons – perhaps they have an underlying medical condition, care for young children or older adults, or are simply not ready to drop the mask. Please be courteous and compassionate toward our fellow community members whose masking choices may be different than your own.

Sincerely,

Darryl Reome, Ed.D.
Campus CEO
