Tunxis Community College received top rankings from Intelligent.com in the organization’s national and state lists of top programs assessed for 2022.

The college ranked No. 4 for Best Community Colleges in Connecticut and No. 7 for Best Online Colleges in Connecticut. Tunxis also placed at No. 24 for Best Online Military Friendly Colleges, one of only two Connecticut colleges to make the national list.

Researchers compared 704 programs from 2,900 universities and colleges across the United States for the lists, focusing on those that help students enhance and develop advanced skills for a variety of in-demand positions. The scoring system compares each college based on program strength, student readiness, return on investment, cost, and student engagement. Flexibility, faculty, cost, and reputation are also factored in.

Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates including advanced manufacturing, allied health specialties, business, cybersecurity, and data science, which prepare students for further studies and transition into the workforce.
