Tunxis Community College in Farmington will hold a Health and Wellness Fair on October 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Administration 100 Building hallway. The event is free and open to the community.

More than 25 traditional and holistic health care providers will offer free health screenings, information and giveaways.

Tunxis will host free anonymous mood disorder screenings during the event. Providers will offer Thai yoga massage and mini reflexology sessions. Participants can also try out stationary Fit Bikes, hula hoops, Fatal Vision goggles that provide simulations of impairments caused by intoxication, and much more.

Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for transfer to bachelor’s degree programs and employment in areas with industry need, including advanced manufacturing technology, business administration, criminal justice, dental hygiene, early childhood education, engineering science, human services, and liberal arts and sciences. Several programs offer guaranteed admissions with the CT State Universities and University of Connecticut, as well as numerous private colleges and universities.
