Change Your Career: Change Your Life, Fri., April 10, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.:

This interactive workshop with career counselor Eleta Jones Ph.D., LPC, will help participants develop the next steps in their career plan and create a personalized action plan. Fee: $45

Influencing without Authority, Fri., April 17, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.:

Even without the authority to compel cooperation, managers and supervisors often have to use their “powers of persuasion” to get work done. This program, led by professional development consultant Deanne Shapiro, will focus on enhancing effectiveness by using influence and persuasion skills to gain mutual commitment and cooperation. Fee: $99.

• How to Refocus Your Job Search, Wed., April 15, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.:

Learn how to refocus the job search and application process away from age and on to experience. During this half-day workshop, participants will have the chance to look at samples of actual job openings, conduct mock interviews, redesign their résumés and strengthen their cover letters. Those who enroll should bring a copy of their cover letter and résumé to the workshop. Helen Sneed has more than 15 years of experience in human resources management. She has coached and counseled people to help them become more successful in their current jobs and in their search for new positions. Fee: $45

Secrets to a Successful Job Search, April 22, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.:

Human resources coach Helen Sneed will share how to find job opportunities beyond CareerBuilder and Indeed.com. Learn how to uncover jobs that others may not know about and improve your online job application skills. This workshop also includes a self-assessment exercise, résumé review, and interviewing skills practice. Tools from this class will help participants expand their field of opportunities and increase their chances of finding and getting the job they want. Fee: $45.
