Credit Registration for the fall 2020 semester is in progress at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, with a variety of course formats including on-ground, online, and hybrid classes that are a mix of online and face-to-face.

Tunxis is accepting applications for new and transfer students online. For information on how to apply and register, visit tunxis.edu/apply. Those who apply and register for classes by August 1 will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 tuition waiver and a bookstore scholarship.

There is still time to apply and register for PACT, Connecticut’s free community college program. Prospective students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, apply to Tunxis and be registered for classes by July 15. The FAFSA can be submitted online at www.fafsa.gov, and TCC’s school code is 009764. For more eligibility information and details on PACT, visit tunxis.edu/pact.

Tunxis is also announcing a series of new degree and certificate programs starting this fall. Programs include three new CSCU Transfer Tickets that transfer seamlessly between CSCU colleges and universities in computer science, economics and theater, and well as Tunxis degree and certificate programs in some of the fastest growing fields–data science, energy management, and paralegal studies.

Continuing education registration is ongoing, offering career training for professions such as certified nurse aide, registered medical assistant, phlebotomy technician, pharmacy technician, central sterile processing, veterinary assistant, certified medical administrative assistant, massage therapy and patient care technician. Some programs are approved for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding through the Connecticut Department of Labor. Certified dislocated workers and those receiving SNAP assistance may also be eligible for scholarships and tuition waivers for many continuing education programs.
