Credit Registration for the fall 2021 semester is in progress at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, with a variety of course formats including on-ground, online, and hybrid classes that are a mix of online and face-to-face. For information on how to apply and register, visit tunxis.edu/apply.

There is still time to apply and register for PACT, Connecticut’s free community college program. Prospective students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, apply to Tunxis and be registered for classes by July 15 for priority consideration. The FAFSA can be submitted online at www.fafsa.gov. For more eligibility information and details on PACT, visit ct.edu/pact.

Tunxis facilities are open to the public, for those who would like to make in-person appointments or visit campus. Virtual appointments will continue to be available.

The college offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates that prepare students for transfer to four-year degrees and transition into the workforce with such programs as advanced manufacturing technology, cybersecurity, data science, energy management, engineering, paralegal studies, pathway to teaching careers, and technology.

Continuing education registration is ongoing, offering career training for professions such as certified nurse aide, registered medical assistant, phlebotomy technician, pharmacy technician, central sterile processing, veterinary assistant, certified medical administrative assistant, massage therapy and patient care technician. Some programs are approved for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding through the Connecticut Department of Labor. Those receiving SNAP assistance may also be eligible for scholarships and tuition waivers for many continuing education programs.
