Tunxis Community College will hold its 51st Commencement on Wednesday, May 25 in the college’s courtyard. The rain date is May 26.  

More than 470 graduates will receive 607 associate degrees and certificates, and are scheduled to arrive on campus in smaller groups by major during the day from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Valedictorian for the Class of 2022 is Aidan Reynolds of Harwinton, who will receive an associate in science degree in liberal arts and sciences. Co-salutatorians are Alexis Ludko of Plainville, who will receive an associate in art degree in biology studies, and Julia Ortiz of West Hartford, who will receive an associate in science degree in business administration and certificates in business administration and finance. The three will share video and written remarks on the college’s commencement web page at tunxis.edu/classof2022, available just prior to commencement.

From fine arts, business, health, and technology to liberal arts & sciences programs, Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates, providing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that prepare students for transfer to bachelor’s degree programs and employment in areas with industry need. Located in Farmington, more than 6,000 students enroll in credit and continuing education programs at Tunxis each semester.
