Tunxis Community College Foundation has announced the appointment of Keith Madore as its new executive director.

In this role, Madore will work with a board of directors to accomplish its mission of providing financial support to Tunxis Community College while creating a new annual fund appeal, conducting events management, business and community outreach, and other fundraising activities.

Madore comes to Tunxis CC Foundation with a background in event planning, community outreach, annual fund giving and donor cultivation. He has nearly 24 years of higher education experience, 12 of which have been in institutional advancement.

“Keith’s advancement experience and enthusiasm will add valuable perspective as the Foundation reaches for the next level of success,” said Tunxis CC Foundation President Sal Vitrano. “We look forward to working with him to achieve our goal of enhancing the academic mission of Tunxis Community College by providing students and faculty with the support they need and deserve.”

Madore is the director of institutional advancement and community engagement at Asnuntuck Community College, where he has led advancement efforts since 2014. While at Asnuntuck, Madore has revitalized the campus annual appeal, reaching its highest goals to date. He has also secured some of the largest donations in Asnuntuck’s history, established new scholarships, led the college’s capital campaign and forged partnerships with surrounding industry.

“Keith brings many years of experience in higher education and institutional advancement to this position, and will make a strong addition to the Tunxis Foundation with his commitment to engaging a diverse range of stakeholders,” said Dr. James Lombella, president of Asnuntuck Community College and Tunxis Community College.

Prior to joining Asnuntuck, Madore spent 18 years at the University of Maine at Presque Isle where he served as the director of development and alumni relations. Madore holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Maine at Presque Isle.
