Tunxis Community College invites the community to “Cheers to Tunxis” Winter Blues & Brews craft beer and cider tasting, the first of a year-long series of celebrations commemorating its 50th anniversary, on Feb. 27 from 5-7 p.m. in the College’s 600 Building, Tunxis Room.

The evening will feature brew samples and bar bites, an art exhibition, silent auction, and live music by The Green Jazz Band.

Advanced tickets are $25, and can be purchased online at tunxis.edu/donate, or email [email protected] Tickets will also be available at the door for $30. Those participating must be 21 years or older with proper ID. For more information, call 860.773.1357.

“Cheers to Tunxis” is sponsored by Tunxis Community College Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization led by an executive director and managed by a board of directors. The Foundation’s mission is raising funds for Tunxis Community College and its students, with a focus on scholarships, special learning projects, the arts and student veterans.

A series of events celebrating the college’s opening in 1970 are planned at Tunxis Community College during the 2020 academic year.
