Tunxis Community College is hosting Virtual Information Sessions for those who would like to learn more about attending Tunxis in fall semester.

All are welcome to join a 15-minute group WebEx information session on one of the following dates to learn more about Tunxis and PACT, Connecticut’s program for free community college. General information and financial aid sessions for FAFSA help are also available.

Each information session will be followed by time for questions and answers. Those interested should sign up at tunxis.edu/sessions.

PACT–Free Community College Information Sessions

• Wednesday, June 10, 5 p.m.

• Thursday, June 18, 5 p.m.

To be eligible for Connecticut’s free community college program, prospective students must complete a FAFSA form, apply and be registered for classes by July 15. For more eligibility information and details, visit tunxis.edu/pact. Additional session dates are in the process of being added to the website.

General Information Sessions

• Tuesday, June 9, 5:30 p.m.
• Thursday, June 11, 1 p.m.
• Tuesday, June 16, 5:30 p.m.
• Thursday, June 18, 1 p.m.

Admissions staff members are also available Monday through Friday by email at [email protected] to schedule individual meetings or phone conversations.

FAFSA Help Sessions

Virtual FAFSA help sessions are available by appointment Monday-Thursday at 10 a.m, 11 a.m., and 12 p.m. by emailing [email protected].

Tunxis will open for on-campus classes this fall. Online registration is open for both credit and non-credit fall classes, which start August 26. The college will offer a combination of on-ground and hybrid (part face-to-face, part online) courses, and is developing a plan to adapt college operations to ensure compliance with state and national health and safety protocols related to COVID-19.

Tunxis Community College offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for transfer to bachelor’s degree programs and employment in areas with industry need, including advanced manufacturing technology, business administration, criminal justice, early childhood education, engineering science, and honors computer science/mathematics. Many credit programs offer seamless transfer to the CT State Universities and guaranteed admission to the University of Connecticut. The college also has transfer agreements with private colleges and universities.
