December is “FAFSA Month” in Connecticut, and Tunxis Community College will host sessions this fall and winter for those who need help filing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Representatives from Financial Aid Services at Tunxis will help those with questions about filing their FAFSA information and renewals. All current and prospective students, including high school seniors, are welcome to attend with their parents.

  • Walk-in FAFSA sessions will be available in the Financial Aid Services Office, 100 Building, Room 1-083, on the following dates: Nov. 19, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Dec. 3, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Dec. 10, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.; Jan. 7, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and Jan. 14, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • A Saturday Walk-in FAFSA Help Session will be held Dec. 7, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Tunxis Library Computer Classroom.
  • Individual 30-minute sessions are available by appointment on the following dates: Dec. 4 & 5, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.;Dec. 11 & 12, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.and Dec. 18 & 19, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. All sessions will be held in the Financial Aid Services Office, Room 1-083.

Tunxis Community College is currently accepting applications for spring semester, which starts January 22. From arts, health, and technology to advanced manufacturing programs, Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates, providing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that prepare students for transfer to bachelor’s degree programs and employment in areas with industry need.
