Tunxis Community College will offer late-start courses this spring in accelerated 7- and 12-week online sessions which begin Feb. 5 and March 23.

Designed to shorten the length of time to finish a degree, accelerated classes include the same amount of course work as a 15-week semester course, condensed into fewer sessions.

Some of the open courses at Tunxis include Accounting, African American Literature, American Government, Art History I & II, Intro to Business, Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Software Applications, English Composition, Interpersonal Communication, U.S. History I & II, Statistics, Macroeconomics, Nutrition, Principles of Management, General Psychology, Spanish and more. For details, visit tunxis.edu/latestart.

Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates that prepare students for transfer to four-year degrees and transition into the workforce.

Financial aid and payment plans are available for full- and part-time credit students who qualify, and eligible students can utilize veterans benefits.

For more information and assistance with applying, email [email protected], or visit tunxis.edu/apply. Although college buildings remain closed to the general public until further notice, virtual appointments are available for those who need help enrolling at Tunxis or registering for classes.
