Tunxis Community College in Farmington will offer late-start courses this spring in accelerated 7- and 12-week sessions which begin Feb. 3 and March 22.

Designed to shorten the length of time to finish a degree, accelerated classes include the same amount of course work as a 15-week semester course, condensed into fewer sessions. They are offered in a variety of formats including on-campus, online and hybrid.

Some of the open courses at Tunxis include Accounting, Art History, Intro to Business, Chemistry, U.S. History II, Macroeconomics, Photography, Principles of Management, General Psychology, Spanish, and Statistics. For details and a complete list, visit tunxis.edu/latestart.

Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates that prepare students for transfer to four-year degrees and transition into the workforce with such programs as business, biology, cybersecurity, data science, energy management, English, engineering, paralegal studies, and psychology.

Financial aid and payment plans are available for full- and part-time credit students who qualify, and eligible students can utilize veterans benefits.
