Tunxis Community College will hold a Saturday “Enroll in a Day” walk-in event on July 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., for new and continuing students to get help with admissions, advising, course registration, and financial aid for fall semester.

It is also the last Saturday for students to learn more about PACT, Connecticut’s free community college program, which will be offered once again this fall. The deadline to fill out the FAFSA, apply, and register for fall classes through the PACT program is July 15. For more information on how to qualify, visit ct.edu/pact.

Prior to attending the event, prospective students who have not yet applied for admission should complete an application and placement form online. Required documents and unofficial college transcripts should also be uploaded using the college’s application portal, or can be submitted at the event. For more information on what to bring, visit tunxis.edu/enrollmentday.

A vaccination clinic will be set up during the day accepting student walk-ins for COVID-19 vaccines.

Some of the college’s 70 associate degrees and certificates include advanced manufacturing, business, cybersecurity, paralegal studies, data science, English as a second language, psychology, and an energy management program that offers multiple full scholarships each semester. Among these are 23 degrees that offer seamless transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at the CT state universities and Charter Oak State College.

Fall semester credit classes begin Aug. 26, with a mix of on-campus, online and hybrid course options.
