Tunxis Community College in Farmington will hold an Advanced Manufacturing Open House on April 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the 300 Building, outside of Room 308.

All are welcome to tour the campus and learn more about Tunxis advanced manufacturing degree programs, financial aid, scholarships, and bachelor’s degree transfer opportunities. Faculty will be available to answer questions.

On-the-spot acceptances will be granted for those who bring proof of high school completion, immunization records, unofficial transcripts, application fee and complete an Application online prior to their arrival.

Students can start courses in August for associate degrees and certificates in Machine Technology and Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technology. Tunxis Community College offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates, including 10 associate degrees with manufacturing, science, engineering and technology emphases. Tunxis is also a recipient of a $2.8 million National Science Foundation grant that established the College of Technology’s Regional Center for Next Generation Manufacturing, an NSF Center of Excellence, and one of seven National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technological Education Centers in the United States.
