Tunxis to Hold Saturday Registration Events on Campus

Tunxis Community College will hold Saturday “Enroll in a Day” walk-in events on August 13 & 20 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., for new and continuing students to get help with admissions, advising, course registration, and financial aid for fall semester.

Those who plan to attend can reserve a spot in advance and find information on what to bring at tunxis.edu/enrollmentday. Prospective students who have not yet applied for admission are also encouraged to complete an application and placement form online prior to the event.

The extended deadline for PACT, Connecticut’s debt-free community college program, is August 15. Prospective students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, apply to Tunxis and register for fall semester for priority consideration. The FAFSA can be submitted online at www.fafsa.gov. For details on PACT and eligibility information, visit ct.edu/pact.

Some of the college’s 70 associate degrees and certificates include advanced manufacturing, business, paralegal studies, data science, and an energy management program that offers multiple full scholarships each semester. Among these are 23 Transfer Tickets—degrees that offer seamless transfer to bachelor’s degree programs at the CT state universities and Charter Oak State College.

Fall semester classes begin Aug. 29, with a mix of on-campus, online and hybrid course options.  For more information or assistance, email tx-admissions@tunxis.edu.

Tunxis is among 12 community colleges in Connecticut merging in 2023 to become CT State Community College, one of the largest community colleges in the country and largest in New England, dedicated to quality, access, and affordability. CT State students will be able to apply once and take classes at any campus.
